TABAKIS & TRESCHER DUO

Rebecca Trescher has been working with Athens-based Greek guitarist Giorgos Tabakis since 2018. Giorgos Tabakis composes and arranges exclusively for this duo. Together, the boundaries between contemporary jazz, Greek folklore and modern classical music will be explored. Together they develop and shape their own, original sound language and immerse themselves in their musical cosmos regardless of genre, acting at the moment. Both musicians have very different musical backgrounds and inspire each other on this project. The musicians are currently working on a new CD program, which will be complemented congenially with a Greek percussionist.
